Another rehandle project

Tell me what your thoughts are on working the ebony? I haven't started working mine yet.

The ebony works pretty well, though it seems a little brittle. The ebony I have is very dark and doesn't show the grain well, so I mainly use it as accent pieces. On this handle the ebony is much harder than this particular species of rose wood, so one has to be careful when using the sander on them. Otherwise, no problems, though sometimes they will not absorb the finish very well. It depends on the oil content in the wood. It is a bigger problem with Cocobolo than with this particular piece of ebony.
