When Stomper ran his April special on Hikers I took the plunge and placed an order for my first custom. (Thanks to the postings of other JK owners) .It arrived today.

It is made from 1/8" O1. Mine has a 3 7/8" blade, instead of the normal 4",to be carry everywhere Connecticut legal. It is 8" OAL, black micarta w/red liners, thumb serrations, and lined lanyard hole.

A few more shots.

I just might have found my perfect all-around woods-bumming knife.

That's nice. I've always like the red liners with black micarta.

Thanks for sharing.

I really like the black paper mircata on John's knives. There is just something about the smoothness of this mircata and how it accentuates the curves of his knives. I'm sure you will love this knife, I have a similar kephart model and really enjoy mine!

Its not just pretty, I can even make stuff with it !:D

Ok...not the best figure 4 but the mechanics are sound.

And with lunch in the fridge, my son and I gave up on dealing with the gnats.:grumpy:
