J, That was fast! Ruff isn't a problem. Try sparking them, wrought iron will give you a straight orange spark but the links look pretty positive to me for WI. If you saw the links in half you should also be able to see layers in the cut. Forging is also another way to tell. WI will seperate while forging, something else to figure out how to do. It can be fluxed and put back together. I bet you also got some wagon wheels in there......
