After paying $30 w/shipping for one Moran sheath and $35 w/shipping for another sheath for my Moran I decided that I would try out my local maker of Kydex products to see what he has to offer.
Allen Blade lives right here in Spokane WA. He makes the sheathes for the TOPS knives. He also makes knives, very nice ones, some you have seen in past Tactical Knives issues, like the Recon. I heard that his Recon may be going in to production.
But these days he is focusing on sheathes, and at a decent price, starting at $15 for smaller knives, which includes the Moran.
The new Allen Blade sheath for my Moran is Kydex, riveted with lots of lashing holes and a removeable belt loop, drilled for vertical, horizontal and angled carry.
If fits the Moran well, only as much Kydex as necessary, no play, doesn't rub the Kraton, releases as it should, very nice.
Unfortunately, I don't ahve any pics of it, but when his new site is up, there may be pics of it.
He is not registered here at BladeForums.com, but he does have e-mail H0USaPAlN@aol.com and I am sure if you wanted to give him som business he wouldn't mind.
To answer another question, no I am not currently or ever planning on getting paid by him.
