Bryan helped me realize a knife this week. Our little project started the week before Christmas when I came up with this design. The handle is based on my Wustoff Chef knife, which always felt very good in my hands. The handle material is tan mircata. It will be my first Breeden in mircata. Spookey will like this one as it has big handles (5"), but JeffH won't :)

The blade profile is similar to the CUB knife, a tad wider at 1.375" and 5" in length. O1 of course and 5/32" thick!

Bryan kept me informed of the knife progress every step of the way providing me with updates of the pics.

You might notice a familiar knife here - the bottom one is his roach belly he posted tonight and made up at the same time.

Bryan is working on the sheath still. These are all of his pictures as I do not yet have the knife. Bryan kindly gave me permission to post his shots. I'm super pleased with how he was able to turn my little drawing into life. Also, he completed the work in less than 2 weeks. Awesome job, and I absolutely can't wait to get my hands on this thing.

Looks good. I see the kitchen knife in it.

If you think about it, a beefy kitchen knife should make a great camp knife.

man.. i can't keep up with all of these cool knives bryan.. i like this one too..:D

Great looking knife. I need the big handles too. Most Chefs knives fit me pretty well.

Those are both really sharp looking man, good work. Very sleek and simple design. Please do snap some more shots when you get it!

Yep that is definitely there and one of the intended applications. As somebody commented in another thread, about 90% of camp knife chores are related to food prep. Also I use the peacemaker in the kitchen all the time. This one was made a tad thicker for some of the tough jobs and will have a convex grind.

Great job Ken and Bryan! Very nicely done.
Definately looking forward to some in-use pics.

An excellent looking knife. I'm super impressed with Bryan-he was very involved in the process of building my pathfinder last year too.

KGD,

Nice - let us know how you like it when you get it in hand and fully realize your design. Hopefully it is everything you hope it is.

Looks great guy's:thumbup: Thats what I like about these custome knife makers, most of them will try to work with you to get you what you want !

Another Beauty.....great job, awesome looking knife, will serve you well for many many many years!

Hi all,
thank you all for the comments on Kens thoughs and his knife design.
He really came up with a good one:th umbup: the handle is nice big and
comfy:D and with it 5" blade length LOL that is always a plus. I really like that blade length to. The 5/32" steel thickness it my favorite for thicker knives. I use it for my own personal knife that I carry every day.

Ken I am glad you like the looks of it so far.:D by the comments it sounds like some others do to.:D
