Another Sickening Knife Incident

What a dumb-ass.

Yeah Ron,

It is sickening, I thought the guy was a total idiot on the last episode when he got in the other guys face over the pillow.
Glad he's gone. Now if they will just get rid of Will

I don't think it will hurt knives for a few reasons. First, it took place at a contrived "reality show" TV environment. Second, from what I hear, the person was clearly a jerk. Third, the incident was in the kitchen and he used a kitchen knife. It's not like he whipped out a lockback or a balisong. I think this person just proved that he is a jerk.

Agreed.

Hollyweird doesn't hold too much credibility on these shows, IMO. Now if we could just get Ted Koppel and Tom Brokaw to participate in "Talking Head Pie Throwing Challenge" we might accomplish something--letting the public know that the evening news isn't much better than the infotainment and "reality" shows.

Personally, I would prefer a televised recreation of Stanley Milgram's "obedience" studies, using celebrities as the "shockees" and the studio audience as the "testers."

Oh yeah, the shock generators would be REAL!:D

You must continue with the experiment!!

Playing with XXX,000 volts,

Karl

I'm still stuck trying to figure out the reasoning behind the statement that "Krista wasn't threatened," after the yo-yo said, ""Hang on, I'm going to slash your throat. Would you get mad if I just killed you?" according to CBS.

Is that CBS spin? Is that a writer who doesn't understand 3 syllable words? Stupid editing? There are so many possible answers its ridiculous.

Sounds to me like maybe they ought to do a better job with psychological screening on the contestants than they did on him.

From the way the story is written, it doesn't seem too likely that much bad for the world of knives will result. Kitchen knife in kitchen is pretty hard to sensationalize. I think maybe Justin would be a little more on his toes in future, if that knife had been solidly planted up his tuhkesis. (sp?)

I have never watched the show, but from what the article said and from what has been posted, I can only say "Good riddance to bad rubbish!" The guy apparently has made misogynist remarks before and then he pulls this stunt; no way could the woman not have been frightened! The statement that she was not is pure PR BS. Misogyny may have been funny when Archie Bunker voiced it 30 years ago, and it still is when you see it on reruns because of the way it was handled, but not this c**p.

As to the effect on knives, I would say that it would be nil. Now, if he had pulled out a Gunting, a SOG Tigershark, or something in that line, then CBS might have given it huge play and we would all be "hip deep in the Big Muddy".

"Whether this is good for the ratings or whether this is good for the show, I haven't given a thought to that," he said. "My mind doesn't work like that. I have a lot of compassion for the other houseguests and for Justin. ... Certainly, I'm not happy about this."

Malarkey...

What else would ya expect...The guy was from New Jersey...:D.:D.
