Howdy folks-

His talent is almost 'old news' around here, but I only just sent Siguy a blade to reprofile, my first of many I'm sure!

I received the blade back today, a JK kephart (4"). It's got some very appropriate new angles at the grind now, much better for general slicing/carving/cutting but still strong enough to handle heavy work. Even grind lines and a polished edge.

Took it out back today and it was making some very clean slices on fresh twigs/branches, handsome fuzzies, and still handled batoning cleanly.

I was never quite satisfied with how I reprofiled the handle (thinned it towards the rear), just because it cramped all my fingers together just a tad too much. Went ahead and lowered the drop some more and refinished the wood, so pics will come on board after it dries.

Anywho, another satisfied siguy customer. Send him your steel with confidence! :thumbup:
 
Yup! Handle is much improved over my previous attempt. You can check it out again if you want, to see the difference.

Glad you could make the blade better suit your needs man. Ive heard alot of good bout Simon.....:thumbup:
 
Si does great work! Im lucky to be within driving distance of him and he's done a number of knives/ hatchets/machete for me. I've got several more I need to get to him.--KV
 
Si is dynamite.... He did a few machetes for me...thay can be head a zombie in one swing now.

I couldn't be happier with the job he did on my Northstar - it's currently the sharpest one I have.

Simon, do you do knife blades on multitools? I have a Vic Spirit on which I had removed the serrations, but the new plain edge could probably use some help.
 
i am late in adding my thanks for Siguy's work on my Wendell Fox Bolo.....

new EXTREMELY sharp edge and blade rust cleaned up..... I've now run out of trees to trim on my property and thinking of asking the neighbors if they want any of their trees trimmed LOL

Yeah he's my hero also:cool:

He has done over 10 of my knives and improved all of their cutting abilities:thumbup:
