HOWEVER, everything posted above involves the same type of immature humor.

And I don't what this tittiness is that you keep talking about, but it sound a whole lot a personal insult.

I thought that would happen when the lab was mentioned. I have a bunch of BG42 knives. It's always good, clean fine grained steel. It is what it's known for. The batch you made the Millies with was a particularly nice one. The heat treating was excellent, grain structure beautiful, as was/is performance. I bought two, they were so good.

To get that type of damage on the blade the first thing I thought of was a cheater bar. This is tough stuff, very well finished. Breaking like that under normal, or even hard use is not believeable to me. My opinion anyway. Thanks for your patience with the forums lately Sal. Regards, Joe

Sorry, I don't care to be insulted or disrespected. Sal has a personal interest in staying calm and humorous at all of the ........ knuckleheads that post here, so he keeps himself of the right side of PR. (I'm not calling Sal a liar, but after years of dealing with Yahoos, I can only imagine that can only laugh at their behavior) I can call a spade a spade, because I don't have to worry about coddling to adolescent behavior.
 
Making light of a crappy situation to break the mood is a very common and effective form of humor. It's not immature at all. It would be in bad taste if people had died or were hurt or something, but this a is an internet forum about knives. You are offended because you chose to be, not because of poor humor.

Oh, and real cool to decide Sal's or anybody else's sense of humor mirrors your own. Thanks for letting everybody know what forms of comedy are okay and which aren't. :rolleyes:

You mention not caring to be disrespected but you seem have no problem disrespecting others over something minor. The guy made a joke regarding the recent threads bashing Spyderco for bs reasons. Its not the end of the world or worth getting worked up over.

I'm not getting worked up. I'm just calling it like I see it. I have to work with many people that are immature. I don't like, but I'm forced to deal with and roll with the punches. I know what I see when I see it.
And Easv was right, this is a dead horse.
 
i may be immature, probably not, but if i am atleast i humor myself....what would really make me laugh is to see walking man kick in his front door and throw his keys at the cat just because of a title of a thread........but seiously is there anyway to delete this admitily, atleast now that people are fired up, useless thread.....AND FOR THOSE WONDERING put lithium grease on the pivot today after soaking last night, seems to have remedied the problem

I HIGHLY recommend you start watching more Comedy Central and learn a little more about humor.

tricker, we don't delete threads, we don't even like to lock them. And at least we did find out that your knife is going to be OK now, which is good news. :)

Stick around, enjoy the forums, and don't worry if discussions drift a bit or flames flicker around the edges. It happens. After all, once the horse is dead, the beatings don't bother HIM anymore, and we can always walk away.
