Another Stockman wanted

I think I will get one of those 6318's in CV. Being in Hawaii I don't have any dealers to go check em out.

I'm looking on the popular auction site and see some older ones. I've read on the forum about older Case knives being better quality. Is this true, or are the new ones just as good?

IMO, the knives Case has been making over the last 5 or 6 years or so are quite nice. I wouldn't hesitate to buy one online.

But I do like Bob W's suggestion of ordering from a reputable dealer that can send a no-hassle replacement or refund if you get a stinker. I got my ss peanut on a popular auction site and it's great. Still, ordering from a solid online dealer will minimize any risk and that's usually worth an extra buck or two.

Ok, thanks for all the advice. I couldn't make up my mind so I ordered the:

Case 6318 CV Amber Bone
Queen #26 Small Stockman in D2 (amber bone)
and just for fun the...
Case Peanut Yellow CV

Hopefully this will satisfy me for a while.

Thanks,
Dave
