Another suggest a knife thread

Greetings,

At this point it seems almost cliche, but I am looking for some knives that fit a certain criteria.

I am looking for a liner lock folder, preferably with metal scales, with a blade between 3.5 and 4 inches.

I like wide, drop point blades, but I am not super picky on blade shape, and I have absolutely no preference in blade steel.

I am not looking to spend more than $350 CAD

Liner lock + metal scales indeed is not seen often, I guess it is because it would be two metal slabs on one side of the handle, which is not an optimal setup? If you are willing to consider frame lock, there would be tons of choices, among which I recommend Spyderco titanium Military.

Right now I am carrying the CRKT Homefront, which has a lock that operates like a liner lock, but is actually more of a metal tab screwed into a recess milled into the inside of the scale than it is an actual liner.

I have handled several frame locks, they usually feel pretty stiff to unlock compared to a liner lock, and I find both sides of a knife looking alike aesthetically pleasing.

And I do also like that, in my experience, in the unlikely event of lock failure, when a liner lock fails it jams open, preventing the blade from closing on my fingers.

I agree with the ZT0909 but have to ask if you have checked out the ZT0350?

I have, it is actually the only knife suggested so far in this thread that I have actually had the opportunity to handle, but the blade is just a bit too short for what I'm after.
