Something jogged my memeroy about a survival " Get Down Of The Mountain" type movie I saw a very long time ago. I thought it starred Tony Curtis. Plane crashes and the survivors trek down the mountain and one or more end up getting stranded because an ice bridge over a crevice collapsed after the first few made it over. It probably came out around 1975?? Anyone????

Can't think of this title but it was a made for TV movie a long time ago.
Saw it when I was a kid but it left an impression.
Starred a Jeep
, and Andy Griffith, I think, who played against type, as a hunter in the AZ (?) desert who accidentally shoots a younger guy out on a hike.
The rest of the story the victim is trying to survive under harsh conditions while being pursued by the bad guy who wants to finish him off to cover up the incident.
Maybe mid-70's.
Oh hell, I am probably mixing up a few movies and plots... there may have been some flying monkeys and deep sea scuba divers as well.
Anyone ?

Don't remember the name, but I read the book in 8th or 9th grade. The hero eventually takes out the hunter with a sling shot he finds in an old prospector camp...same story???

However something strikes me as the bad guy thought he had him finished off.
He his telling "his" story to the authorities (possible hospital bed scene
) and the hero makes it out alive to set things straight, much to the horror of the villain.
So many stories and so many recycled cliches.

I read that book also, it's written more for young adults, but I cannot for the life of me remember the title!
