Beautiful work Tony. I have a soft spot for trappers and this is a superb example. The workmanship lokks first class.
 
Hey thats awesome! Really like that alot.
I've been workin at making linerlocks and fixed blades for awhile, but a trapper is starting to interest me. Do you make the springs thicker in order to do the filework? Or does it not effect the strength any?
Very nice work. I'm really impressed with the filework. I know how hard it is to be that precise with it.

Matt I don't really make the springs that much different. But yes anytime you remove material you are having some affect on the strength. Mostly it is adjustment of the tension the spring exert on the blade and getting proper heat treatment of the spring.
