Another use for Molle clips

There's the big B.O.B., in the Mountainsmith Ascent II, the little B.O.B. in the 5.11 bag that holds more than the Maxped Fatboy I used to use, and the little mini-kit in a Pelican 1010 box. The RAT3 fits in the 5.11 bag and the Izula has not found its home yet--I am thinking it will just go in the front of the van.
 
Like your retro. That pouch carries a lot of survival stuff. Very ingenious. Do you think it's too big to put on a RC 4?
 
Looks really good...... Question: what is the blue and red thing? Looks like a multi-tool but is made out of plastic.
