Another Watch Thread.

Im probably just worried about the face breaking or whatever, because when I was younger a friend of mine were clowning around. I went to punch him and he blocked and I hit his watch with my pinkie knuckle, the face broke and a chunk of my pinkie stuck under the face. I know the watch was cheap but still that kind of thing will stick with you.

That and the idea of a "shielded" watch is just kinda sexy to me. I mean in my head it looks awesome and that dakota just floats my boat.

Again thanks for all the replies guys. I will look into the sapphire crystal watches too.

I'm thinking you'll break your knuckles first before you're able to break a sapphire glass dome. It is extremely hard. The problem with a cover is that you might drop it and destroy the hinge. Or you might accidentally open it too hard and break the hinge.

I wear an Omega Planet Ocean everyday (my first nice watch) and i cannot see the glass breaking anytime soon. It is just one hard wearing watch. I've dropped it on hard surfaces many times. From about 5 feet. No problems.

I also have a G-shock. I'm guessing i can throw that one out the 2nd storey window of my house and it'll still survive.
