I have clayed up a few blades and it seems that the finish is always very rough and crusty where the clay was. This was particularly noticable in the one instance where i put anti-scale compound on the parts of the blade that were not clayed. Here is my question. Has anyone ever tried applying anti-scale to a blade, letting it cool and harden up and then claying up the blade?
