Antifreeze

My antifreeze is sort of amber colored. Can someone tell me what it is for? And what it's made of?

Well, thank you Guyon for bringing this thread back to the important things!

I read somewhere that cars that use the red stuff have a coating in the cooling system to help with corrosion resistance. That coating is necessary for the red to be 100% effective. I could be wrong, but if abyone has heard/read similar, let us know. I would stick with what the auto manufacturer recommends. You can't go wrong if you do that. As some said, I think the red is Chevy specific, too.

Antifreeze was one of our favorite drinks in high school, LMAO!

Steal an orange juice concentrate from your buddy's parents freezer, pour a bottle of ...well, I don't have any idea what it was, but it was a blue colored vodka IIRC...anyway, pour the whole damn bottle into their parents punch bowl, drop the orange juice concentrate into it and stir like mad!

Voila! Antifreeze:D

I think the red stuff had Fire Water and JD orange Tennesee Tea in it...in my opinion, this stuff is better used for flushing radiators:barf:

I think Skunk has a motive for this antifreeze:confused::confused:

and well that is between me and Skunk:D

I thought green made Superman weaker and red made him a sociopath.

Oh, wait that was something else entirely...:o

And here I thought the green was deadly to Superman, but the red had strange side-effects on him.
