Brand name and model of an antique or vintage knife that you would love to have. Basically, I'm using this question to find some good old knives that are rare or somewhat rare. I collect mostly new traditionally, but looking to start broadening my knowledge on older "antique/vintage knives.

If the knife I would love to have is rare, why should I tell you what I want to get? [/Selfish Thoughts]

Lol. I'm personally into XIX Albacete knives from Spain. I already have one but I would like to find one with a shorter blade and better preserved.

I'd love to have any of the ancient daggers or knives of India. Katars, khanjarlis, bich'was, pesh kabz, take your pick.

That sounds like a very broad area. Is there a particular theme that interests you; such as knives of WWII, a particular style (bowies, kukuries, butcher knives, hunting knives, military, bayonets, pattern swords etc.), or a specific culture?

There are common, not so common, rare, and rare and desirable knives in just about every area of collecting.

I really like old slip joints and there are many that come to mind but a Remington Bullet would be great.
Kevin 👍😊

I'd love to have the marbles ideal or a westmark Bowie ( not sure the model, but it has a long ka bar blade style )

I wanted my Grandpa's Remington since 1969 and it was finally passed on to me a decade a go along with a couple Colt revolvers and a 1939 Winchester.

Without hesitation; a sunfish two blade. Looks like a platter you might eat Mexican food off of at a restaurant but then you see the nail nick and unfold the broadest hard core utility blade . . .

Love those things. I don't want a mint one I want one carried by a rough neck or miner back in the day.

Looks like this but this is a reproduction and was supposed to have come with tobacco color scales (dark brown). I was disappointed but it is still very nice looking and well made for the super inexpensive price.

Buy yah . . . this . . .

Just looking for ideas. My history of knives is not the best. I am mostly into traditionals. A schrade 2ot I know is one that would be great to have. I guess I should ask which models are most desired for certain brands. So far, the direction of forum is going good

I know almost nothing about collectibles. But just thinking about it, I would love to have some very early Barlow's, and maybe some of Randall's first knives.

I would love to find a real one of these

The Elcho is a very rare and desirable bayonet. The one in the image is a reproduction; real ones seldom come up at auction.
