Hello my dear brothers,
With God's good will today i have the honor to present you a unique blade, the last one in this marvelous steel, with a great handle to compliment it.
I called it the 'Antique' puukko as it has an intentional antiquated look that makes it both unique and classy.
The blade was made using the last available O2 core San Mai steel (this steel is not produced anymore unfortunately), it features a scandi zero grind and a nicely polished bevel that cuts like crazy
. The forged finish is there to enhance the story of the knife
To go well with this blade a decided for a subtle contrasting hybrid handle combination and so we have a 'handsome' piece of locally sourced oak crotch to go with the chocolate dyed and stabilized maple burl bolster. The backbone of this setup is a thick layer of vintage micarta that blends perfectly into the setup yet offering a slight touch of contrast and the needed strength!
The hardware is solid brass. Everything was nicely buffed and has an excellent fit and finish!
Overall the knife measures app 7.7" while the blade is app 3.5".
The price for this guy is 155 usd. Please ad 30 usd for a nice vegetable tanned thick ox leather sheath (only made on request).
