I stopped in a local antique shop that also sells guns. I was looking for guns and walked past knife in the case for $25. I took the chance adn got it. The blade is 7inches and looks like a USMC Kabar. It has a blood groove about .25 inch tall and 4 inches long that is very shallow. The handle is brown plastic material. The tang is threaded and fastened to a large nut securing the grips. The tang is visible in the middle of the nut. I looked hard and found on the crossguard "made in Taiwan" I am pretty sure that is what it said. The blade was used and had rust spots here and there and a few pits. The sheath was a thin leather with fabric meshlike backing. The owner said he really didnt know anything about it and figured since it was a kabar clone it was a decent price. Does anybody know anything about older Taiwan made kabar clones? I was wondering what era it may be from? Thanks.
