Actually cloudy overcast days are the best for photography, the sun is still shining thru the clouds, & as cameras are set for "dayligth exposure", your all set, no harsh lights, or way to dark shadows, taking pictures of shiny metal can be difficult, nice job. That deck backround sure shows up in a lot of pics here lol

Is there a comparitive review between this and the model it is a repoduction of? I seem to remember comments that the origonals weren't as good but haven't found out how this is so. Do people use their older kukri or just leave it to the modern ones

Andy, I am not aware of a comparative review of original military M 43's and the "M 43" from HI or Tora. I cannot recall any statements that the government-made M 43's were inferior in some respect.
