This knife was forged out of a 8mm allen wrench. It is extreemly tough but has a spring to the blade. The only side effect of forging and allen wrench is you can still see where it says "china" near the transition of the handle and blade. It is very sharp.

Steel: D2; forged, differentially heat treated, and tempered.
