Antler knife handles questions

I was thinking about buying these handle scales but I was just wondering if any one has experience with them. The part that gets glued to the metal looks like on the photo that it has lots of little indents in it. I just wanted to no if it will glue up with no gaps with those little intents. Or maybe they aren't on the really blank just in the photo? And also do they look nice on a knife. Has anyone used them? Post a picture if you have please. friend the other side is flat. what your seeing is that dark side, like the other one in the pic sanded down to reveal color and some of the texture..Its showing you a before and after sanding..
