Antler question

I have a whitetail deer antler with a sticker point near the base. If I cut that off and sand it, will it be smooth? Will it look odd?

I left this one on but it was in the perfect spot and helps the knife stand up on 3 points on display. You have to decide how it feels and looks.

Cut it off and fine sand and it will look good.
