Up for sale, folks, I've got a small anvil. Looks to be sliced out of a piece of steel I-beam, like you do with railroad tracks. And it's already mounted to a stand for ya.:) I haven't checked whether it's hard or not. However, with an average-sized forge and some willpower, I bet you could heat and quench the face yourself. It's fairly small and manageable. As you can see, someone painted the face white, probably to prevent rust. Then it sat outside this guy's barn in the rain so long it got good and rusty anyway. I gave it a quick once-over with WD-40 and a wire brush, but what it really needs is a few minutes with a wire wheel on an angle grinder.

Anyhow, I'm asking $45 for it. All you guys who are itching to try your hand at forging, this is your budget ticket into the art!

As far as delivery:
I live near Jackson, Michigan.
Every week, I'm up as far NE as Howell, MI (and when I come home, I pass almost through Lansing), as far west as Albion, MI, and as far south as Hillsdale, MI.

That means anybody in NW Ohio, NE Indiana, or any of the southern half of Michigan is within a very reasonable driving distance from me at some point during the week.:D Naturally, the cheapest way to go is to meet somewhere and pick this up. And for someone buying a budget anvil, I'm betting that's a concern. BUT! If anybody really wants to talk about shipping it somewhere, I'm more than willing to figure something out.

Pictures should be forthcoming tonight.

Thanks for looking!
