Finally finished. Chains through the Hardy and Pritchel holes with padlocks on each.

This is to keep others from using/abusing my anvil. I purchased my anvil brand new, and work at a shop where there are slobs and people dont care about tools, and abuse them or use them incorrectly. This is to protect it.

Sam,

That is really funny...and effective. With all the torn up anvils I have seen out there, I bet there is more than one blacksmith that wishes he used your idea. Good stuff.

im a going to come down and hammer the crap out of the sides of it now like a proper grinder monky :)

Pretty cool stuff, Sammy. At the risk of offending with my ignorance, who makes the model of your anvil? Even with your guard, it looks quite nice!

Thanks guys!

Matt, it is a Jymm Hoffman anvil, he has them made to his pattern in Pittsburgh. Check him out, great smith, great anvil.

Holy cow, that thing is cheap!!! Really reasonable price for a new anvil, and I could go pick it up.

Man, I need money.
