I got this anvil for $1.56 @ LB. It has on it 1.4.4 which = 144 LBS. The only other marking on it is 603.

If the 1 4 4 is across the front [where the chalk is], I'd guess maybe a Hay-Budden?

Can you tell if it has a face plate??
