preheat and post heat is big with anvil repair, 400F atleast pre and post heat. 7018 MIG can be done, just be sure to work your steel hot.

Anvil, Vise and Tongs! Repair Advise Needed

I just want to say THANKS! to all of you guys, I really appreciate the help!
It turns out my Dad dropped the anvil off Saturday evening and picked it up Monday morning, I forget how fast things can get taken care of back home in TX. The repair was very minimal from what I understand so that is a good thing!
I can't wait to get all this stuff, I have been wanting a post vise for a while now. The anvil is beyond my expectations!
I want to build a Smithy next, hopefully I can at least find a spot for tuyere or some sort of forge. A gas forge is a consideration but for now I want to power it with something I can gather myself. And cheap too!
