I mean are there any folks here Her specifically carry 1 pattern only? I'd like to be, but I keep getting stuck between trappers and stockman...What about You?

I mainly carry my Case Small Texas Jack. It's a nice compromise between the peanut (too small for me) and the trapper (too big).

I was a stockman only guy for the longest time. Then I started spending time here...you know the rest. Now I also carry a sodbuster and harness jack and have a swayback and a couple of trappers on the way.

No way hozay!:D I enjoy so many different patterns, it really tickles my ADHD, and makes it jump around and giggle alot. ;)

I'm not really a "one-pattern" guy, although I guess I lean that way. Although over half of my slippies are large Trappers, I do carrry other patterns on occasion (Peanuts, Stockmen, Congress, Jacks)

I carry ONLY two-blade slippies (unless I'm either by myself or with somebody, in which case I mix it up to suit my whim).

One pattern? Well, no but, I can nail it down to Traditional patterns only. Typically patterns invented before 1920 and earlier.

I carry a trapper/sak combo most of the time but not all the time. I am however thinking seriously about doing a combo or trio thing for a year . It might be good for me, clear my head a bit and get back to basics and all that stuff. Sometimes I put way to much thought in to what to carry for the day.

I always seem to go back to a stockman, though I usually have a Victorinox Farmer on me as well. So, I guess that makes me a two-knife, two-pattern person.

At age 52 I am just now trying to break out of the Stockman-only (for slipjoints, anyway) mindset. (It's hard because it just seems to be the perfect design).

I'm thinking the Case Mini Trapper.

Not anymore, But if you are counting EDCing one pattern/one knife only, for many years at a time, you can put me down for carrying Barlow, Camp Knife (Non SAK), Stockman (over 10 years easy, the spey blade looks like a toothpick:D).

Top That So-Lo. :D :)

WIth traditional slipjoints, I have a few different patterns, but I tend to gravitate towards big blade/pen blade configurations (peanut, barlow, etc.).

A stockman or cattleman pattern is pretty much what I carry though I really like the way the one canoe I have feels in the hand and cuts. I have a chestnut CV peanut in my jean watch pocket at the moment trying to give that pattern a try and break free from my one track pattern mind. We'll see how that goes...
