Any 1 pattern Guys??

Totally out of the question! With SO MANY decent and valid patterns to choose from it might be more productive to ask which one pattern or patterns you DON'T carry.....

That would be Sunfish and Toothpick for me at least! Never seen a lot of sense in Congress either....

Swayback Jack, one or two blades or a Wharncliffe Trapper, one or two blades. It's been one of the two for a few years now.

I just read this again and it looks like whatever I carry, it has a Wharncliffe blade. ;)

Mostly I carry jacks. But that can be swayback, harness, gunstock, teardrop, etc. There are many variations to that one pattern and I dig them all.

I EDC a swayback, but I'm a fan of most two-bladed jacks, and pen knives with handles that are visually symmetrical. However, 90% of the time it's the swayback. :)

EDC for me was a medium stockman for years. As far as collecting, anything thats old and in half decent shape. Ive trended towards different things like stag, or a particuar pattern, or customs starting out. Got away from customs years ago. Jim Serven was my last knife from a maker that I bought. It was a nice interframe folding boot knife in Cocobola with a sidelock. My collection now is a hodgepodge of knives without rhyme or reason. It just has to catch my eye.I was even into tacticals for a spell, and  for Leatherman.

If I had to choose only one pattern of slip joint to carry, it would be a stockman. I like the versatility of the different blades, depending on what job you're using it for.

navihawk,What you said about your knife collection being a hodgepodge hit the nail on the head with me. My collection is the same way, if I like it then its found a home.

Also you never know whats out there. Most of my stuff came pre ebay from flea markets, antique stores and yard sales. I've been getting some off of ebay lately, but I don't like it. It's just not the same as digging one out of a box in some barn somewhere.

In the woods I'm a one pattern guy and have also been a one pattern guy any time I'm not at work. My large stockman is perfect for me and carries nicely on my belt in a horizontal carry sheath a member here made for me.

Overall I enjoy Spey and Sheepsfoot blades

Medium Stockman right pocket & a Peanut in my left..Go figure. I'm a Pipe smoker and I use the Peanut as a tamper.

Semper Fi.

Hmm, I used to be a Stockman carry only, but nowadays a Whittler (With Wharny main blade) has replaced the Stockman (Pretty similar in that the blade shapes are usually the same & there're 3 of them). However, recently I've been throwing a Barlow (Also a Wharny) into the rotation.

Geeze, now that I read that, I guess I'm not a single pattern guy anymore, lol.

As of yesterday I may have become a one pattern guy. I bought a small Saddlehorn and I just can't stop playing with it. I may look for a single blade next. The handle feels so good in the hand with both blades open.

I try to be a 1 pattern WOMAN. I carry my Vic SAK Cadet Mon-Sat. Sunday I take Peanuts Buck Cadet to church. Fishing I use a Mora.
Um... what was the question?:o
