Any archers here?

I'm a level 2 NAA instructor, but haven't had the chance to use my certification in years. :( Just no time to shoot when I'm busy selling knives one half of the year and going to college the other. :)

Another traditional only shooter here...I hung up my wheelie bow about 10yrs ago and I have never regretted it!!!!
That kid on the video is a helluva shot.

recurve trad only baby!

Yep, Traditional only here too. I shoot a Howard Hill Big Five. I'd love to make my own selfbow some day, but I'll need a bigger living space for that. Archery is the only thing I can say I've been doing my entire life since I was old enough to draw!

I love archery, but don't get a chance to shoot often. Have to drive too far to find a place.

Great video-thank-you the boys and I all have a bad case of the archery fever. We hunt elk here in Colorado with our BowTech Old Glory compound bows [we are long armed Dutchmen with 32" draw length's] I being the old duffer grew up with traditional archery and that experience blessed me some bad habits when I started using my compound..Regardless of what mental archery demons I have my hat is off to anyone who can harvest an animal with their bow of choice..and harvesting a trophy animal with a bow to me is like throwing the winning touchdown pass at the Super Bowl.....Steve

Impressive video & skills. I have gone to using my bow almost all the time. I still enjoy the front stuffer for late season scouting, for the following bow season :D. Archery is very addictive and tons of fun.

I shoot collegiate recurve (olympic style) since that's what my school subsidizes. I compete shooting barebow (no sights or stabilizers) when I get the chance, too.

This is a couple of inches after release (another coach's highspeed camera) at 77 yards and you can see the arrow starting to flex. This was down at USIAC in Long Beach, CA this past May:

And here's one of Jacob Wukie also at USIAC who might go to the Olympics:

Of all the things in my life I regret my stupidity that caused the partial paralysis of my right arm, is at the top. I used a long bow for years, I could easily hit a paper plate at 60 yards. I don’t even know who made that bow, it was crazy hard to pull but I kept at it until I could get the string back to my cheek.

I’m lucky that I’m left handed or I would have lost my ability to play music too. I feel like such a wimp using a cross bow but it’s the closest I can get to bow hunting now a days.

built my own traditional out of a juniper sapling about 2 years ago.

Not a full longbow, more of a traditional American aboriginal bow.

Haven't killed anything with it, but I have no doubt it could meet the challenge.
