  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Any archers out there?

I have a 60yd archery lane in my back yard. I shoot, my 14, 12, and 10y.o. boys shoot.

So, what do you guys shoot? I use a Bear with a 28" length and a 60lb draw weight.

Me: Maitland Retribution VTR @ 27" & 67#.
14y.o.: PSE Rally.
12y.o.: Diamond Razor Edge
9y.o.: Diamond Nuclear Ice

When is it not archery season?

How about Bow season? Like Bow Hunting season. It's not till September for me

I don't have any but my mom has a few bows at her place. I believe they're about 25 lbs, compound and recurve.

Compound is easier but I prefer the recurve. My shot is terrible but is so much fun. I've lost a few arrows in the ground haha.

Hoyt Formula Ion-x 25, with 40lb carbon limbs....literally got it today. I'm relatively new to archery, no sights just instinct shooting and form for now.

My favorite way to hunt is with a longbow.

Just got started teaching my daughter. I've been out for a while, and I'm shocked how much a bow costs now.

I shoot just about every day, either in the backyard or in the forest around my house. My hands-down favorite bow these days is a Robertson "Primal Styk." I've shot many different longbows and recurves, and this bow just 'clicks' for me. Drills a heavy arrow like nobody's business, too.

That knife matches that bow perfectly. Looks like a great combo.

I've been practicing archery for some years, but I only got into bowhunting quite recently - shot my two first animals (coypus) a few days ago ! For now I shoot a very simple Ragim Taïga (I just love short bows, they're perfect for me - I'm not tall, so it's more practical ^^ !)
Smithhammer, your bow and knife combo nears perfection !

Thanks, and nice job on the coypus! Did you eat them?
