  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Any archers out there?

I have a compound to eat, Prime Centroid at 60#. I have recurve for fun. I've been at the trad game for 8 years and am a really decent shot. Most of my hunting get luck happens at 40 yards so I tend to put two doe in the freezer with my compound then go a buck hunting with my recurve.

Let me add that small game hunting with traditional archery and a few friends is an absolute blast.

I started out with a compound bow. Two were gifted to me by family members. I never hunted with them just practiced and enjoyed it a lot. Then my bro in law gave me his old recurve and I love shooting that thing. I have hunted with it a few times, never taken anything yet. For the most part it has been deer hunting. My wife has been hunting with a bow longer than I, she usually gets a deer during hunting season so that's nice. We also got my two boys(few months away from 7 and 9) bows this past christmas. Archery family here.

Thanks, and nice job on the coypus! Did you eat them?

Thanks !
I wanted to, but I was staying at a campground and it was my last day of hunt, so it wasn't really practical to make a pâté...! But the next one(s) will definitely be eaten!
