Any BK15 owners?

I don't currently own any BKT knives, and I'm looking to pick one up. I think I've narrowed it down to the BK15 or BK17. I haven't been able to find any reviews or feedback on the 15. Seems to be the least popular of the new models. I already have several drop point / bushcraft-type knives, so I was thinking the BK15 would be something different, and something that might work well as a general purpose food prep or camp knife. Any thoughts?

Right now, it falls just right behind the 16 for sales.

Making it the 2nd best selling BKT Short, and damn find general purpose knife. Its great in the food prep department, and as a hip knife.

When dealing with wild animals, from reports we've heard from outside testers, you will find few better for rendering meat.

It also whittles, carves, cuts, batons, and takes on just about everything out there that a knife will need to do.

I wouldn't say they are the least popular....I just think everyone gravitated to the BK16 first. Moose likes the 17, and I have been eyeballing the 15. I've seen others that like the 17. I think as more people get the other models, they will be just as popular. The 16 would be the hands on fave if they had kept the saber grind. The FFG cuts great, but looks boring as hell stripped. Going to clich mine this week once I collect the supplies.

you act like you are only ever gonna get one. trust me you CANT. my monies are flying towards olean uncontrollably right now. go to a random number generator and type in 15 through 17 and whichever one it chooses is yours. then next month the BECKER call will be answered again and youl have two then four then eight and so on

I love my 15. Its a great grill knife and will be my hunting knife. It would also make a great bird and trout. The full length swedge lightens the knife but its not to thin that it can handle the baton. The bk17 is my favorite tho. The clip is just wicked and its the heaviest of the bunch so it can take abuse in the dirt. Both are drop dead sexy and you should get both

I'm loving that longer blade on the 15. I'm having a rough time deciding on my next purchase. 15, 9, 4...

I just can't take it anymore. I need a 15. I wish I didn't have this camping trip to pay for next week and some car repairs or I'd be ordering one right now.

Thanks guys. I think I'll go with the 15. I will probably end up with more, but I gotta start somewhere;)

I have one also and it has already spent time in the kitchen. Very sturdy but still slices well. Kydex and micarta scales are on the way and it will be a perfect camp knife.

there's more than a few reviews :) see the DB for a starting place. bed real soon now. sooooo tired.

I started with the Bk-5, then I said what the heck, so I got the Bk-15, Bk14, and the Bk-4 (Machaxe). Great knives, but I go for the Bk-15 most of my trips out. it sort of reminds me of Mors Kochanski describing a survival knife, with a up-sweep tip and a curved belly. I really like my Bk-15, its TiT's!

One of the reasons I went with the Becker Line is its 1095 CroVan, which I think is very similar to the Cold Steel CarbonV. I thought I would share that.

I can totally relate to this feeling. 2 days after I got my 2, I was eyeing the 10. Now its the 10, 14 and 16 (in that order). These knives are addictive as hell.....and rightly so. They are all awesome! whichever one you pick first won't matter...because it won't be your last. I promise you that.
