He is saying it's not the one I show, but the second one I state (the lockbar insert).

This guy is worried about breaking a lockbar insert? Are you serious? I could suggest buying the knife and 5 inserts. When one breaks, swap it out.
But I won't, since I won't suggest anyone support Anthony Marfione.

It's funny you make this thread as a hypothetical asking if others think it will happen but now you are claiming it actually did happen. Sir I am convinced you will make up anything in the moment if you feel it confirms your bias
 
Yea, what's the deal?

You say you had an opportunity to buy the knife, but didn't out of concern of the lock bar insert breaking.

Now your saying you did buy one and the lock bar insert broke the same day.

Taking both stories into account makes you seem like you are an outright liar and you got yourself caught in at least one lie.
So now we ask, Which one is it? Which story is "correct"?

Don't think I will believe you now, but I am asking for clarification for those that still do.

140 sounds about right for a "Tony Marfione Custom Sigil M390 Steel Blade Sand Blasting Titanium Handle Folding Knife Tactical Survival Knife" from china. Even then I am still not convinced something broke. Let's see pictures.

That's what I am thinking too. If, and that's a big IF, this guy isn't pulling a fast one on us, then he definitely has a cheap Chinese clone. I'm no Microtech/Marfione fan, but I can't imagine them putting in a sub-standard lock-bar insert.

I smell someone who's primary language is not English and I smell a bad clone... Either way, this thread... well... much entertain. Very read fun.
 
More laughs can be had! Look at the ops started threads. He's had imagined issues with all sorts of manufacturers.

What he is talking about is a problem usually with chinese knives but even then its a rare problem and usually corrected before it leaves the factory. The issue is if the detent ball is pressed into the actual LBI. Sometimes if the lockbar insert is run too hard and the detent ball is close to the edge pressing the ball into the insert can cause a crack in the insert. in some cases the detent ball can fall out because of that crack and the constant back and forth. But its such a rare occurrence that trying to claim its something to have genuine concern over is almost comical.
 
Understood Purp, but how many Microtechs do you think this has happened too??? Not much love for that company, but I can't see that happening on one of their knives.

I think this thread is about cloned trolls. I have a picture in my mind of filtrum logging in every week or so and wandering off giggling after starting a poop storm.
