Any Busse updates on Blade 2006

Atlanta traffic is worse than Mexico City! I'm pretty sure they said the ScrapYards were S7. I picked up a couple. The biggest problem was I couldn't keep my mind off my new double-cut snake skin SH-E VARIANT that I was holding next to my heart! I also got a killer custom shop Pork Belly Skinner with snake skins as well. Jerry is ALL THAT AND MORE!

The corrugated BM is on display, with standard and magnum scales, nice knife!

I was afraid of that. The corrugated bevels do nothing for me. I find they spoil the lines of the blades. I guess I'll take a pass on these when they come out.

I had dinner with my aunt, handed her a pakage and asked her to mail it to me, oh, and insure it for $$$$, I don't trust TSA, and would hate to loose my new Bad Apple . There were 2, not sure who snagged the other one.

You are an evil man. The Bad Apple is my all-time grail Busse. I simply MUST get to Blade one of these years. What is your insert material?

i dont really feel any thing for the corregated bevels visually, but i dont think the are detrimental to the use or performance of the knife. i'd be interested in seeing how extreme they are on the fbm, if their like the ak47 bevels, or the jack hammer bevels

A California legal BARF looking knife, and what could possibly be a recurve Nick fighter (.125 INFI)

WHAAA????? i have a custom recurved nick on order!!!

could it beeeeee??????? does anyone have a picture????

The bevels on the FBM are like those on the Jack Hammer, curving up at the tip and down at the ricasso. I believe that they reduce the overall friction between the blade and material being cut.

There were 3 Bad Apples at the show, two w/ desert ironwood and one w/ rag Micarta (blace w/ red flecks).

I'm sure Jerry wouldn't do anything to reduce the effectiveness of the blades, but I still don't like the corrugations. If nothing else, it prevents (or greatly hinders) satin finishes, which are my weakness....

Swoon...

Perhaps the HOGFBMLE will have a standard flat grind, to better make with the satiny goodness.

I believe that they reduce the overall friction between the blade and material being cut.

I've been puzzling over that a little, but now think that there might be something to that as a legitimate design feature. I just measured the corrugation depressions in the blade of my new HR. On a blade which averages about 1 3/4 inch wide, The total shallow cutout or depressional area on the blade is about 7/16 inch, or about 25% of the width of the knife - pretty substantial. In my mind, probably makes up for the friction of the crinkle coating.;)

If I have to have the corrugated bevels on the FBM, I'll live with it. But I'd rather have a standard flat grind............. truth be told. ;)

Now I want to see a pic of one.. My curiosity is peeked to the max! :D

Whatever it looks like, I'll probably end up buying one. Hey, I can't complain since I'll be getting that insider $100 off (aluminum) discount. Heheheheee... :p

Still have an unused hog tag?

Yep. I still have it. And yep, I edited my post to add that word "aluminum".. :)

A low $300-ish FBM is going to be the shiznit!! :D

I wish.

My current Wauseon blade fund is only able to handle the standard FBM (w/discount), and maybe a slice of cheese or two..

aaaaaaaah gotta get the hog version of the bm. i've tried the HH version of the sh, and the hog beats it hands down :)

its so heavy its almost dangerous in my hand, since my grip isnt as strong as i'd like to be. but i love it for that.
