here is a flyer for an upcoming trad. shoot we attend every year.. it's put on by the traditional bowhunters of CA.. www.tbcarchery.com it is a great time, the property is absolutely gorgeous in april... :) wild flowers galore...

there is 3 courses to shoot, as well as some fun novelty targets... there is flintknappers and primitive bowyers there, building bows and knapping all day/weekend long... there is usually a bunch of other bowyers and vendors there as well...

i hope you can make it over there too T.... it'll be cool to meet up with you and drool over all of your cool knives...:D
 
I shoot traditional longbow an recurve but i am an east coast boy, sounds like fun though.
 
Mike, right now all I can think is, "sucks to be all the way out in CT." Looks like a great time. Take many pix and post them here okay?

will do brian.... this shoot is a lot of fun, definately one of my favorites... the property is amazing and in april, the wild flowers are everywhere....:D

a big bonus to the whole trip, is that there is a really cool knife shop called nordic knives, about 20 min. away form where we will be.... www.nordicknives.com
 
Does it cost if you just want to come and spectate? Sounds cool, but I haven't shot a bow in years, and never a traditional bow. But it would be fun to maybe come watch.
Oh yeah, were is it at?

it only costs $$$ to shoot in the tournament..... you could totally come and hang out for the day/night... i am going to try and get there thursday sometime, hopefully.... :o all depending on the misses...

i have plenty of bows..:D you're welcome to shoot one... there are some cool practice ranges to shoot as well(free too)...:D

Well, maybe if I can talk my Mrs. into it we'll stop by one day and check it out and say hi.

ETA: I think I have figured out were abouts it is at. Seems to be way down south near LA? if that's the case, I doubt we could come. I was thinking since you are in the Santa Cruz mountains, that it would be around here somewhere. Sounds cool though, hope you have fun.
