Any Cadet love?

My Cadet has been my constant companion since about the middle of August. It has been my perfect EDC knife since.

Any one else like the cadet?
 
Can I profess my love for a Cadet II? Great little knife, works well when dressier pants are required.

got the rose edition one... but havent been brave enough to carry one hehehe..

I've always wanted a Cadet II. Are there any still available?

I just picked one up for my wife and she seems to like it. Kind of a girls version of the Soldier/Pioneer. :D It's very slim which is good for her because she doesn't like to carry stuff in her pocket.
 
I often carry a Cadet when I've a traditional type knife, Barlow, etc. in the other pocket.
I can't do without my SAK tools, and with the Cadet you don't even know it's there.

Do I like the Cadet? You bet I do. :thumbup:
 
It was the Cadet that got me interested in Victorinox SAK's. So "YES" lots of love here for the Cadet!!!

I guess I've got four - in Alox - silver, green, red, and bronze! then there are the 84mm Wengers and Vics in the mix as well - I'd love to find a Cadet II to add in! - and there are a couple Vic soldiers and a farmer as well! - yeah, what's not to like about the Cadet! It goes well with a suit as well as jeans!

I really like the size, selection of tools and the looks of the Cadet. Anyone know where I could find a black Alox Cadet online? Thanks in advance~

Check your local Target store first. They usually have them for about $17 in a blister pack on a hook. Look through them for a black one. I've seen red, black, and silver at my Target.
 
Where's that target store? - I can only fine the silver, red, and green versions of the Cadet which I own!

York PA, I'm planning on getting a Red one someday soon. If I see a black one, I'll IM ya, but It may be a week or two till I get there. I do not often shop there.
 
I recently found my Cadet at Target here in Nor Cal for $17. Fits so perfect in the pocket that I've been EDC-ing it since I picked it up. Can't count how many beer bottles it opened last weekend when we were hanging out by the beach :)
 
The Cadet is my favorite SAK. I hate having anything in my pockets, and even the Soldier feels like a lump. However, the Cadet disappears in a pocket. I have always been a huge fan of the scout pattern, but they were always too big!! Scout knives are thick and cumbersome, for the most part. The Cadet is not. Nice and slim, yet still packs plenty of utility in the slim profile, and is built like a tank. The all steel/aluminum construction makes it feel bomb proof. I have the red one, and I have to say, I get oohs and aahs many times when people see that shiny red Alox. Do I have love for the Cadet?

I like a lot of different slipjoint knives, incliuding SAKs, but the Cadet is right up at the top. Might very well be my favorite "urban" knife. I have a bunch of different colors, and a few backups for "just in case"...
 
Really looking at the Cadet. Two questions:
1. Is the blade thicker than the 84mm Cellidor models?
2. Are the bottle opener and can opener as stout as the soldier, or much weaker/thinner? Is the can opener usable?
