Any Cadet love?

you might want to ask jackknife this question seeing as he has both of them. i have never used the can opener on mine, but i have used it as a phillips on it and it worked good. even though i cant compare it to the soldier i think the bottle opener is pretty stout.

Really looking at the Cadet. Two questions:
1. Is the blade thicker than the 84mm Cellidor models?
2. Are the bottle opener and can opener as stout as the soldier, or much weaker/thinner? Is the can opener usable?

1. Blade thickness is the same on the Cadet as on the (Cellidor) Recruit.
2. The bottle and can openers on the Cadet are slightly smaller and thinner than those on the Soldier but still plenty strong. The can opener is certainly usable.

I really like my Cadet. Only thing that would make it excellent would be replacing the nailfile with an awl. Yes, that would make it a mini-Soldier, but that's the way I like it. I agree that, at times, the Soldier is a bit too heavy for my delicate tastes. If only it were possible...

1. It has the 84mm Cellidor model's tools.
2. The can opener is totally useable. I have used it many times, and no it is not as thick as the soldiers. Like I said in 1., it is the same tools found on the 84mm knives.
