Last year Canadian Tire introduced their own line of hunting stuff, under a brand called Huntshield.

They have a few blades, and I am wondering if anyone ever bought one?
There is one on sale right now called Huntshield Canadian Outdoorsman Knife
It is made from 440 steel and has an Ebony wood handle. It is only $14 US (18 CAD) right now, was 30
Is it an okay steel?

Should I get it or nahhh

There is also an Gerber LMFII for $47 right now lol

We dont have canadian tires or princess auto here in the states that i know of so i cant really say anything . Id research who produced the knives for them and go from there .. plenty of known good blades for that price point ( buck , mora , blah )

I looked up Canadian tire. The only knives I saw that I'd buy there were the bucks. Never heard of the huntshields, so I dunno.

Well if you have one and like it then another that catches your eye seems like a no brainer at that price point[emoji2] How many knives do you own? What type of knives are you interested in?

Just this stuff+ a Buck 119 and the one I showed above. I got a lot of them before I knew what I could of bought with the money instead, i was just buying stuff I liked, most of them were bought on sale anyways.
Now I make money and a little wiser with it. Now I research the blades before I buy them

Nice collection! Already.keeping it rounded out w some hatchets, machetes, fixed, folders and multi! Well done[emoji2]

I'd reccomend looking at Byrd, or spyderco's tenacious line. Both exceptional quality for the buck. Kershaw also has some cool knives to browse.

I dont really like the byrd finger hole, looks weird, but I am considering a tenatious or an endura or delica or something.

Damn, you're not even allowed to own them? Sorry. I can't carry either, but like at least lhaving em.😃. The push dagger is not my style but was a gift from a close friend so I love it. Butterflies are possibly my favorites cus they're fun to play with, but also very functional. I'd probably carry them a lot if allowed. But alas.

I don't even understand why butterfly knives are illegal.. Push daggers are obviously weapons, but butterfly knives? It takes you longer to open it, as well as a lot of skill.
Here automatic knives are prohibited, but I own a spring assisted, which isn't. Not sure how any of this makes sense lol

I have that same victorinox trekker , ive put alot of miles on mine and its been one of my most commonly carried ones .

The things a beast , its like a regular swiss army knife on steroids with the big frame and lock blade . Holding up great and the serrated blade rips through things my other knives have trouble with like rope and heavy rubber hose . Love it
