any cane sword folks?

was curious if this is legit vintage or novelty , approximate age , and origin , it has that been there done that look , cant place the markings , the rubber bumper im sure was a addon ,not sure what is under it , any thoughts are welcome

My take on it:
Not new, probably a novelty souvenir.
If I had to guess, mid-20th century.
Rubber tip was placed over the ferrule.
Looks like it was used, but they can fake age and use.
My guess is India production.

Thanks , I know nothing about it , it's at a local pawn shop, one of their other locations , they are asking $100 , they will xfer it to my local branch (they have a chain of 8 locations) free of charge but I do not want to bother unless im interested ,but I do not know anything about them

I will call tomorrow and see if they have any info or provenance to it , just thought if it was legit it would be a nice addition , I didn't mention cost in OP because some sites frown on throwing values around

Still sold today, a novelty item from India, Windlass Steelcrafts, Atlanta Cutlery sells them.

Probably better off buying a modern one. Cold Steel make a few that are LIKELY worth the price, just based on what Cold steel generally puts out in regards to overbuilt items. And the company Dragon King has some fancy ones on kult of athena, though i cant speak to exactly how high end they actually are.

Certainly not worth $100.
You haven't filled out your profile, so we don't know where you live, but sword canes are illegal in some places. ( just in case you were going to carry it)

WV , and i dont carry a cane , was looking for it as gun room decor , if it was antique and presented better in person i may have gone for it but , im taking a pass on it
