Any Chance of an Custom Shop 112 Offering?

Wow... One month is all they gave it ??? Just look at the multitude of customized 112's on the market! There is an obviously huge demand for customized 112's and they only let it ride for one month??? hardly time at all for prospective buyers to even discover the availability of such an offering IMHO...

ya chucks daughter gave in and got the ok for it
and it did last only about a mounth
my brother lucked out and got the first and last ones made
and each is labled that way!
yep lota of girly knife lovers out there
seems they might ought make a custom shop
girly knife avabile but not enught orders came that one time
some times they make limited editions
of the girly knife ...
the paper stone is a gooder one out right now
the paper stone to me is basicly a paper micatra so
it is a good handle for a girly knife
yup that brother of mine and bg42 sure like the
that girly knife right well
heck i even have a few o them
mostly black micarta from years ago
but like i said mostly they are a great girls knife
no i dont think there is a snow balls chance in florida of a custom shop 112 soon

Yup, them 1st, 1st sure are nice! I guess I must be a Sally cus I sure like the 112's a lot :D:D:D
And they are easy enough to customize at home :D

Wow,,,this thread almost has me wanting to get out the sandpaper and radius the edges of this v1-v1 112 I have been playing with this morning.

Not! :D

Oh...That CAN be remedied :):):)

the remedie doesn't have to be this radical of course ;)

now i was right glad to see this picture....
early on in bucks factory it was quite common for the workers to
"thin" their knife down for better fit in there pocket or purse...
many times this was done right at the station they worked at!
so in fract many thined down bucks left the factory every day
in their owners pockets ... these used to show up and no one wanted them
as ... well ... they werent "factory"...
but at one time buck made a much slimer 110 called the thin sides
in response to the employees doing so much thinning on their own knives
which made for a better pocket carry ...
but .. there is not any docutmation of this
so jest another story from the buck files o 110 dave..

This is the info I have Dave:

"110TS (THIN SIDES)
-produced in 1994(\) only
-standard .120" thick blade
-420HC blade steel(1994 forward)

FIRST 5 PRODUCED (PROTOTYPES)

112 style(hooked) front bolster
no rear bolster pins (knife held together by rocker bar rivet and front bolster pin)
lanyard hole through rear bolsters
no catalog number

NEXT ~100

Identical to standard production 110 in every way, except each side of the frame is 1/4" thinner...resulting in a total of 1/2" thinner
catalog #2267

-The 110TS was an attempt to lighten the weight of the standard production 110, as well as lower production costs by using less material."

yup dat is how i recall it being ... gee ya is dang good on that resureching!!!
joe has a ts some place...
sure would like to find a TS my self..

That proto 110 with the 112 style hooked bolster would sure be a pleaser.

Too bad they don't offer that now.

The good news you can have Leroy of Triple R can make you a great 'custom' 112..If you buy one of the few CS 112's make SURE you get the factory paperwork..Most Buck CS 112's will never be sold you can bet on that and EVERY single one I've seen sold went for more than factory cost..As far as I know there has not been one offered for sale anywhere since last spring..If you ask real nice maybe a forum member here will let you buy one,if your really nice!!
