Any chance of releasing AFCK again???

Please bring it back. I would prefer the liner lock original in M4. Come on Benchmade!

There would be a better chance of asking over on the BKC (Benchmade) forum; they're (company reps) never over here on Blade. Without the in-house moderation of Rev Devil and others, I'm not sure this place would even be alive. Worthy of asking, I am sure that there would be enough interest for another AFCK run. Liner lock and M4? Sign me up!

There has already been a number of AFCK or AFCK-like models released with premium steels. I'd guess that the market is saturated. They come up from time to time on the sales forum, and the prices are not much different from the release prices.

Tanks Joe. I think they were scared off by the complaints regarding their abrupt pricing change the week before Black Friday a couple years back. Sadly, the "official" forums seem to have even less activity than this one. I'm glad this one is here and will continue to help as needed.

If the market was saturated they'd be flooding the Exchange. I was lucky enough to score one in D2 in reasonably decent condition from the exchange a year or so ago for a good price. I'd like to see a standard version in S30v or 154CM.

This gets asked over and over and over and over again.

I even opened a thread asking this same thing.

It's becoming a subform right of passage :D

Whose next

Look at the last run of AFCK/TSEK that BM put out... 1200pcs, spread across the 805-1101, 806-1101, and 806BK-1101. It took Knifeworks forever to move the last of those 806BK-1101s. I think someone ended up cutting a deal with them to buy the last 20 or 30 all at once and then had them up on the bay for a while.

Compare that to the 730 or 710. There were a bunch of 730 LEs in 2012 and 2013 and they all got bought up within a couple months of release at most (I seem to recall -1202 lasting from Blade to August or September on KW's site). And KW has been putting out M390 or M4 710 versions constantly for several years now - 710-1, 710DLC-1, 710-2, 710-3, 710-1401.

I think there are two issues... one, the demand is not there for the AFCK at the same level as for 710s or 730s. Two, the run was too big for the -1101 models; if they had spaced them out more (like with all the 730s) I think they might have moved more consistently.

True but that was years ago though.

Judging from the enthusiasm for the AFCK I see amongst my buddies, the forums, and even on youtube vids, I think they will have no problem selling a run of this classic. There is nothing more requested on bladeforums the last four-five years than the AFCK. That and a different steel Sebenza.

I think the 1200 piece run might be too large. A 500-800 piece run has a better chance of selling out.people seem to be spending their cash these days on all manner of "up and coming" off shore companies offerings. There are more brands of knives available than ever before, and they are cheap compared to US made offerings, at almost 50% the price.

I'm with you all as far as supporting a return of the AFCK. As they seem to release a LE every so often I suspect we'll see another one released at some point, hopefully soon.

I was also surprised when the 806-1101 was released and sat around forever at KW. I was able to buy one fortunately but only because of the unusual lack of interest. I've often wondered why these never flew off the shelves? Maybe the market was saturated at the time, I can only speculate and don't know but I did find it odd and disappointing because as others have stated everyone I know who's a fellow knife nut and BM fan regards the AFCK at the top of their list.

I remember back, I think around 2009ish when the 806-901 M4 steel AXIS version was released, only 250 pieces made, and those seemed to be gone pretty quickly. At least that was my impression. I was forced to buy one on the secondary market. Stupidly sold it and it took years to finally replace it. I regard that version as the best or my personal favorite of the LE's released so far.

But back on point, the AFCK remains my all time favorite Benchmade, from the first I received in the 1990's (I amazingly still have it) to it's most recent LE. It's also arguably the finest knife BM ever produced IMO!

I fully support and hope that we see another release soon. Preferably a regular production release but I'd take a LE too. I know I'd be first in line to buy one. Would love to see a return of a liner lock version reminiscent of the original but would also love an updated AXIS version too. Whatever, lets see another AFCK!

I recently acquired an 806-1101 from the Exchange, and it's a great knife! I'd love an 806BK-1101, but they seem to go for higher prices despite what I'm reading here about them taking a long time to sell. I just prefer blade blades, but so far I'm very happy with the 806 I have. I'd love to see a standard production version, even just in S30V or something a little less exotic. :) A mini in the same setup would also be great!

I agree about the run size for sure. A smaller run would not only move faster but probably also stir up more action for AFCKs in general on the secondary market, which wouldn't be a bad thing for attracting attention to it. As far as pricing goes... well, it would help BM if they didn't jack up their prices 33% overnight with no warning a while back...

I just got this old D2 806 back from being reground (thanks Josh!); hopefully I'll be carrying an AFCK more often again.

For a new run, S30V or M4 or M390 would all be good on the blade steel... be even nicer with pre-map pricing (ok, ok, I'll stop beating the dead horse butterfly now).

As long as we're voting here, and hopefully benchmade monitors this, here's mine.

No interest in the big one (4") regardless of build or components.
No interest in s90v/s110v, etc - been there, done that.
Since I haven't tried m390, and it's hugely popular, I would buy one (mini). If it didn't work out, should be able to sell it at no loss.
Definitely a mini ~3" in high speed steel, of any version (liner lock, axis, nak lock, auto).

Easing up on MAP enforcement (BM and ZT) would help that :D

I would def jump on a chance to get an AFCK, such a fantastic model. Seems kinda strange to me its not more popular, i wonder why.
