Any custom makers that build a Randall #1 pattern fighter?

Before anyone tells me "just buy a Randall", let me say here that over many years (since my first Model 14, purchased in 1979) I have owned the Model 14, 18, and 16, as well as one of the smaller saltwater fishermen knives, the Model 10-3. I even owned one of the original Model 18's with the original crutch tip..!

I am not trying to get into an argument over whether or not Randall is a good quality knife, blade quality, type of steel, etc. I have owned several of them, and with the exception of the crutch tip Model 18, I put all of them to use and never had a problem with them.

However, I have never owned a Model #1 Fighter, but I think if I am going to spend the $500-$600 for a knife, I might as well have one made by a custom maker. I really like the blade pattern on this knife, but I would like a full tang because I have some gorgeous ironwood handle scales just begging to be used.

Can anyone suggest a custom maker who might have a blade/guard design faithful to the original Model #1? (6-7 inch in length, 1.125 in width, .25 thickness) Of course, pictures would be helpful...

Thank you

I recently saw a new Ruana. Made in the Randall 1 pattern. I felt it was a high quality knife.

The only thing I can't tell you is if they are still making them or how to contact. But it might be worth looking into.

Bob Dozier's been known to rock out a pretty decent Randall pattern

I appreciate all of the suggestions, I will look into all of them. If anyone else has some ideas, I'm all ears...

Lately Bob Dozier has been doing quite a few Randall patterns. At Blade this year he had a few Commando models, along with a saber type, not sure what Randall model that would have been. Even more recently Bob has started making a specific Randall Model 1 Fighter, there's been a couple from his Featured Inventory available for immediate sale, but they sell extremely quickly.
