I used to bike a lot but quit after my bike was stolen a couple of years ago. Replaced it today with this Scott road bike. I forgot how much fun this was. Did 36 blocks, I know I'm going to pay for it tomorrow.

I added a saddlebag for carrying 6 packs and there's a pouch on the back for your scotch bottle. Have to stay hydrated :D

So anyone else like to bike?

I confess to being a lapsed rider. :o:rolleyes:

Have you ever seen pics of Tony G's fleet? He has some serious bikes. Cobalt has some two wheeled toys, as well. Red Wolf Howling is an active crit racer AFAIK.

I remember seeing some awesome pics. Let my membership lapse here, need to rejoin and do a search.

There were quite a few REALLY cool bikes I saw today. Some were 1200+.

My last bike was a cruiser and not great for actually getting from point A to B. This one is a lot quicker. I've got one other bike, Its a Schwinn all cromed out with a tiny front wheel, big handle bars, and fat rear tire. Left it in Utah at my moms, need to pick it up one of these days.

i love to ride,,,,i have 2 road bikes and 2 mountain bikes.15-20 miles almost everyday.

no pics handy, but I rode/raced BMX as a kid, then did tons of crosscountry mountainbiking for the 13yrs I lived in Arizona, as well as having gone to Big Bear a couple of times a year for about 5yrs in a row to downhill. I rode a roadbike for a couple of years too, but it's just too boring for me. these days I mostly stick to longboarding and snowboarding, unfortunately I need new bionics installed in my left arm before I can get back to mountainbiking and climbing, and that's a year or so out given the rehab and all.

motorcycles are on the near horizon too, been looking at a retro/cafe-racer and some vintage Japanese bikes. hope to have one by next spring to cruise the hood/mountains.

I think the term used by road racers is "Crit Fags"

.

Yeah, I ride quite a bit:

Specialized Tricross comp. Its fast, strong and fun. Awesome commuter and good all round bike.

If only the rain would stop in MN I could get back on the roads to ride again. But to my sadness it is been three weeks of sickness and wet that has ruined my cycling fun.

Got back on it and did another 32 blocks. What a blast. Really helps to have the right bike. My last cruiser was fun but not nearly as functional as a form of transportation.

I'm already thinking about selling off an AK to fund a cross or mountain bike.

And nice bikes guys!

I've developed compartment syndrome in my shins from running, so I've replaced much of my running by using a mountain bike as a road bike.

Here is mine. Dirt jumper (but 350 pound fat dudes know better than to jump), but the front shocks make for much softer wheelies when you come back down.

Out for a little ride with the little guy.

I ride every weekend.

My road bike is an Orbea with full Durace running gear and brakes. Usually do 75 to 80 rides on Saturdays and Sundays.

I also do a little mountain biking from time to time to mix it up, I use a Giant Anthem 1 for that, we anywhere from 40 to 65km through the Blue Mountains (about 1.5 hours out of Sydney.

No time to ride during the week sadly.
