Howdy,

I have this knife, I got from my mentor, Bob Alderman. I originally put a Strider Wrap on it, but for some reason it did not speak to me.

I might do that again, but I thought I might post it, and see if you all had any snappy ideas...

Given it's forged flats and such, I think I am looking for some sort of neo-tribal, or William Gibson thing...

That image robs the perspective, but it is about 4 inches in the blade.

What do you think?

How about covering the sides of the tang with leather then doing a multi-colored Turk's head wrap on it like Tai Goo does? I use leather on the tand of my wrapped knives to have some cushion and a little more shape to the handle.

Funny, because I was thinking two media myself...

Maybe leather in front, tapering thin to the butt, with a thin turk's head on the butt.

How could I add some color or texture up front.... A copper harness rivet? Over a brass washer?

You da man Will.

Wrap the handle in wet rawhide, stitch it up on one side with wet sinew, then allow to shrink.

I would go with some Elk slabs and rawhide wrap on the front and back. I would also consider grinding down the tang to make a hidden tang with a nice stag crown.
