• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

Any electricians on here?

I used to be an electronics mechanic working on submarines. I got trained to use a wire stripper of different kinds with preset gaging as using a knife risks scoring the wire and introduce a failure point.

@ray. I also sometimes use that type of wire stripper. Mostly I use my linesman plyers. I don't nick the conductors. That not what I'm talking about here though. I'm talking about the cable jacket. Not the wire insulation

@lieblad. That mineral insulated stuff is terrible but I use my side cutters for that stuff mostly. Nice gun lineup. I also have all of those. I was lucky as when we got our new gun laws many people gave up on ownership and I'd very often come home from work and find a couple guns in my shed, people would drop off instead of seeing them destroyed by the government

Mechanic and/or millwright should never be used in the same sentence as electrician or electronic, except in this case.
