Any experience with ceramic blades?

I was wondering if any listmember had any experience with ceramic or composite blades? Are there any materials that lend themselves to use in knife design? How keen would the edge be?

Well, I had one of the ubiquitous Boker knives. It didn’t come that sharp and took a wee bit of effort to sharpen using DMT bench stones. Never did get it to where I wanted it.

I felt it was more of a “gents” knife as I was worried I’d break the blade, so gave it away shortly.

I’d think at least someone here has more experience with these still experimental (IMHO) blades.
