I was at Lowes today, they had the Gerber 800, I've been thinking about picking up a LM Pulse to back up my Wave (blame that wallet loss on Hoodoo with his pulsating Pulse) but I may go with the Gerber if the feedback is positive,
Take care all,

I did a little review on the 800 over in the testing and reviews forum. In a nutshell,Gerber decided that an ergonomic handle was in order. In doing so,they made the tool somewhat bulky and just not as balanced IMO.The spring jaws are a novelty but can be difficult given the wide space when the handles are open.I love the rest of this tool, but if I was shopping,I'd get the Pulse.

If the choice is between the Pulse and the Gerber 800 go with the Pulse. I was looking forward to the 800, but Gerber dropped the ball. The concept had a lot of potential, but it didn't translate very well in the production. The Pulse is much better.
