Any Fallkniven fans?

I'm a huge fan. I own an A-2, Idun (NL5) and a PXL folder. They're just fantastic knives and I can't recommend them enough.

I think the warranty issue is a significant one. Firstly I have never needed warranty service on a fixed blade knife of any brand. But then I don't baton or anything. And the warranties offered by some makers as mentioned by cray is really quite incredible. They are so good in fact that I feel it doesn't do any good to use that as a standard of comparison. Especially with a maker whose headquarters is in Boden Sweden and production is in Seki Japan, with three designated distributors in the US. Frankly I think that Fallkniven should consider setting up a branch office (Fallkniven USA) to handle distribution themselves and warranty issues. Surely PH recognizes that the lack of such a facility puts FK at a marketing disadvantage. Any thoughts Mikael?

Great collection of Fallkies. If you had to leave your house with just one of those beauties, and you didn't know when you'd get back, which one would you take?

LOL. Thanks and interesting question. Depends on circumstances. If I'm out of the house and will be among people, in an urban environment probably one of the 4 inchers,
probably the F1 in 3G steel with micarta. If in a semi-urban setting maybe the S1 or A1. If we're talking about mushroom clouds and such the NL1 Thor without doubt.

Well I got the NL 4. Very nicely built knife. I have a couple other leather stacked knives from various manufacturers and the Fallkniven feels more sturdy and has a great fit and finish. It was very sharp when I received it. I have not had a chance to put it to use other than some light cutting and chopping around the house. I feel confident that it would hold up to just about anything somebody could expect from a knife of this size. Looks darn good too.

The only thing that I feel is somewhat of a drawback is the thickness of the handle. It feels fine where the "heel" of the palm is. But the handle gets thinner as it gets closer to the blade. It is not an issue, but it is noticeable.

Overall, a great knife that I would recommend to anybody and most likely will get the NL 3 in time.

I own the TK4 and for its size its a great knife, really razor sharp, and it goes well with a suit.

Yes, the NL4 is thinner in the middle, but it works very well under working pressure.
It's a clear difference between handling it and use it.

I only have the TK4, but it's one of my favorite folders.
Super light with a great handle and blade shape.
