Well, I've been looking around for a new flash light, and I've leveled it down to the Inova T2 or X0. Now I'd aslo like to ask, is the extra weight of the T3 worth it?

What im looking for a general purpose light, edc, camping, hunting what not, and these guys seem to fit the bill, but im not sure what one to choose over other. and weither or not its worth while to just pass them, take the step up and get a T3.

Also, I cant find anywhere the lumens of the X0, though I think its around 85 (I hope)

Any help guys, oh yeah and I've joined up over on candlepowerforums, but I wanted to hear from you guys as well.

I am a huge fan of the surefire line of products. Darn near indestructable. Filters are light enough to be taken hiking and the red ones preserve night vision. With the filter off, it is extremely bright for a small light. I have the Z2 combat light. Would not trade it.

The XO is certainly not at 85 lumens. Inova makes a great product, useful and indestructable. But not the brightest linup.

Have you checked out any of the newer Fenix lights?? They're priced well, and really bright!!! Multiple levels, etc.

A buncha guys at KF are saying this light is a great value!!

I don't own one, but it looks GREAT!

I've got two surefires. Man what awesome lights. Be prepared to spend a LOT though.

I have a surefire, I only really use it for airsoft as I find that they are too bright for just camping and such. Have you look at some of the newer led petzel? They are pretty light, last a while (LED), and not too expensive. Hands free too!

I like Princeton Tec. The prices are reasonable and they have so many sizes and lumens to choose from. I usually carry two, one with a bright led and the other with a super bright xenon bulb. (I wanna be able to see those Sierra black bears FAR off at night!)

Fenix guy here. L1, L2... The new Cree modles are AWESOME.

You may want to take a gander over at CPF. Good people, and they are as knuts about lights as we are about knives.

I have several a Surfire Nitrolon a great flashlight for about 40 bucks I also have
a Blackhawk Falcata 9volt a rugged bright torch for 100 bucks.

Then my favorite of all the Blackhawk Gladius one hell of a great LED torch. I paid 150 for it. I carry it everywhere I go. The Strobe feature is really something. Plus you can dim the light and change the default settings. A very clever light that I know Surefire wished they would have invented.

all kinds (brands) really into the LED thing.
just last Christmas my wife bought me a 15,000,000 candle power flashlight for my collection.
it's good not to have close neighbors when you want to try out your flashlights.

I have the X1 and carry it daily. It's light, easy to replace the batteries (AA), and bright enough for just about anything you may need to do. If you're thinking tactical applications it would suffice for indoors but not out, but for a general utility light and even a camping light it's been good to me.

i have surefires, streamlights, maglights, and a tigerlight. my favorite is by far the tigerlight.

It is extremely bright, lasts over an hour and can take a ton of abuse.

and rechargeable

I know you were not considering this light, but I would have saved myself alot of money if I had discovered it much earlier.

Since you metioned camping and hunting then you need run time. Bright light isn't neccesary. Stay away from Surefire and the like as run time is around 40 minutes. Go with an LED headlamp like the Petzl Tactikka plus.

I would guess that the Ledwave Wildfinder would be one of the best bets for hunting as that is what it is designed for...this is what it says about it....

The new Wild Finder flashlight from Ledwave is true innovation. The specially designed Cyan LED can penertrate fog, dust, rain etc. in the most difficult atmospheric conditions thanks to the latest LED technology. In addition the Cyan beam is not visible to animals making it the perfect stalking tool. The three watt LED is managed by regulator circuits to maintain consistent levels of light output for as long as possible.

I prefer a headlamp for hiking and camp use and I have one of these among others...

I have had numerous xenon as well as others, but my favorite is the Cabela's Extreme 6 watt Luxeon LED, 150 Lumens with a 390 hour run time. This puppy puts out so much usable light that it is a joy to use. Don't confuse this with other LED flashlights that "spread" the light over such a small area that makes it practically useless except to walk down a path or see in the house. This thing knocked my socks off when I fired it up. It has a nice concentrated beam. Range is around 100 yards. The real clincher for me is the 100,000 hour life expectancy for the LED's. No worry of them blowing out when you need them the most, or worse stuff happens and you can't get bulbs anymore. A great light that gives me piece of mind.
A link would help. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/t...tx=mode+matchall&trueNum=44&N=4958+4294967283

I forgot to mention I have a Inova X2 I don't think it is made anymore. I have had it a long time and use it a lot around the house. Since you mentioned getting an Inova. I will say they are good lights for the money. I have never had
any problems with it and it burns a long time. The only thing I don't like about LED lights is the color temperature. I do a lot of night hiking and prefer an incandescent flashlight. The LED just doesn't allow me to distinguish between
heavy foliage very well.

I have an Inova XO and it has 32lumens. I find it brighter than 3-Dcell maglites and fits a smaller package. Check Home Depot for 3watt maglite and maglite conversions, then you can use normal batteries. If you get a flashlight that uses 123 lithiums, find a place that sells surefire batteries, they run about half price to the mighty Walmart, yeah, little guy stores!
